Sammy & Friends is a compilation of my B.F.A. thesis work.
In these paintings, drawings, and monotypes, I explore my childhood as a Type 1 Diabetic. Through my favorite toys and dolls, particularly “Sammy”, I portray the mental struggles, self doubt, and isolation that I was undergoing as a young girl.
